Take time today to reboot and reconnect with God to avoid a crash
The other day, when I turned on the television, I saw a black screen with an error code. Seeing this for the first time, I naturally did what anyone would do and searched the term. After some quick research, I discovered that error code 8-702 occurs when there’s a disconnect or conflict with the system or internet connection.
The instructions call for a four-step diagnosis process to try and reconnect the app with the system. The first step is clearing the cache. Then, if that doesn’t work, update the app. Third, if that doesn’t work, reinstall the app. Finally, after all of this, restarting the system.
I followed instructions to the tee, yet it still didn’t work. Then, finally, after restarting the system three times, it started to stream again. Curious about why this seems to work so often, I researched this too. It turns out that restarting a device puts the device in a default state and runs everything from scratch.
Restarting or rebooting also helps to dump the current state of all software and helps to get rid of the troublesome code. Unfortunately, devices often consume more memory and ram over time, making them bloated, slow, and eventually freeze up or crash. One last benefit is that it also forces the device and you to eliminate the unnecessary and only use the essential.
My reboot situation reminds me that we’re to do the same for our spiritual health. This world’s concerns, worries, or responsibilities often weigh us down. When this happens, we tend to neglect using the essential practices of reading God’s word, prayer, and fellowship to keep us operating optimally.
Take time today to reboot and reconnect with God. This requires you to remove or replace the unnecessary to make more time for God’s things. You’ll find you’ll perform at your best and be most productive when you do.
