Looking back at my life, I realize I’ve had many stages of life. When I was young it was school, then it was work, after that family and now I’m living with all these things at once. In time I’ve come to appreciate each of these stages. Each of these stages has had its challenges as well as rewards.
Many men look back on their lives and reminisce about “better” days. They talk about how they wished they could relive certain times in their lives. They talk about how they wanted those days never to end.
The reality is that God has appointed us all a specific time in our lives for a particular purpose. These are sometimes good, sometimes challenging, and at other times very difficult. Regardless, He promises there’s always a reason.
To those stuck in the past, I say there is no better time than today. God has awarded each of us another day of life to accomplish His will. It’s an opportunity to make the most of our day. Let’s not squander it looking back on the past.
