Recently the printer at home doesn’t stop because the kids are now homeschooling since the cancellation of school. This situation results in them having to print almost all of their assignments, agendas, and work at home. Not surprisingly, the other day, it stopped printing.
The reason the printer stopped working, an empty color cartridge. This printer won’t print with even one empty ink cartridge regardless if it’s only printing black. Up until then, everyone just took for granted the printer was always ready to print.
To remedy the situation, I went online and purchased the ink. When it arrived, I installed it, and the monitor once again displayed a full bar. The printer was now ready to fulfill its purpose.
This story reminds me of our spiritual life. The word tells us that our spiritual life requires us to continually “fill” ourselves with the word. When we don’t, we run the risk of running empty and not fulfilling our purpose.
